Welcome

Gary Chapman has worked in marketing for book publishing for many years focused primarily on non-fiction titles. In the early 1990s he became fascinated by Sugarcraft and cake making and invented the technique for recreating fabric out of sugar, starting his fascination with all things sugery.

In 2006 he moved from London to the Cotswolds and his biography about the Dolly Sisters, The Delectable Dollies: Icons of the Jazz Age was published. He is working on various other book projects all with a 1920s theme, including a book about the origins and development of cabaret or supper entertainment and the dancing craze.

He is fortunate in being able to follow his three passions - marketing books, writing and making cakes.

Check out Oh So Different Cakes and the links to his book projects and articles. Book projects include: the Dolly Sisters, Dolly Tree, Cabaret & the Dancing Craze, Stars of Cabaret, Stars of British Silent Film and Costume Design for British Silent Film. Articles include: the Rocky Twins, Hengler Sisters, Elzabeth Nelvi Craig and Peggy Marsh. His blog all about Jazz Age London and Paris : After Dark.
